Waddup up guys!”
Welcome to Solorio Eats—a place where flavor tells a story, and every recipe is an invitation to create something beautiful, no matter your skill level.
I’m Luis Solorio, born in Michoacán, Mexico and raised in Hanover, Pennsylvania. I didn’t grow up cooking beside my mom, but I lived for her home-cooked meals. The aroma of slow-simmered pozole, the crispy crackle of freshly fried tostadas, the tender richness of carnitas—it was all magic to me. But what truly made her dishes unforgettable were the salsas and sauces she crafted with care.
Her sauces were alive—spicy, smoky, tangy, sometimes blisteringly hot, sometimes mellow and earthy—but always the soul of the plate. They elevated everything from her tacos to her tilapia, enchiladas to menudo. They were the reason I kept going back for seconds (and thirds). Those flavors sparked a fire in me that never went out.
That fire led me to The Greenbrier, home of the top culinary program in the country—a place that shaped my skills and grounded me in classical French technique. I rose through the ranks to lead the Main Dining Room as Chef de Cuisine, but no matter how refined the dishes became, I always carried those childhood flavors with me—bold, vibrant, full of life.
Solorio Eats started as a way to show my mom, from miles away, how I cooked. I broke down recipes, step by step, filmed videos, and made sure nothing was too complicated to try. Before I knew it, others were cooking along too.
Now, this space is for everyone—for those who’ve never chopped an onion, for those who’ve never made a sauce from scratch, and for those just looking to reconnect with the joy of food. Every recipe is built to guide you, excite your palate, and make your kitchen a place of creativity and comfort.
So pull up a chair.
